The Redmi 12 5G smartphone was introduced on August 1st, 2023. The phone has a 6.79-inch display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 2460×1080 (FHD+) resolution. For safety, the display is covered in Gorilla Glass. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 CPU powers the Redmi 12 5G. It has 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM available. The Redmi 12 5G is powered with a 5000mAh non-removable battery and runs Android 13. The Redmi 12 5G offers its own kind of rapid charging.

Redmi 12 5G Display & Camera

It has a 6.79-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 450 nits of maximum brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass shields the display screen from damage.

The smartphone has a dual back camera arrangement with a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera sensor that can be used for both capturing pictures and making video calls.

The dual-sim Redmi 12 5G is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal USF 2.2 storage. By using a micro-SD card, the user can boost the capacity by up to 1TB. Additionally, virtual RAM expansions of up to 16GB are supported. The device comes pre-installed with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13.

Redmi 12 5G back with a 5,000mAh battery thats supports 18W wired fast charging. For security, it has side-mounted fingerprint sensor alongside with all necessary sensor. Connectivity option include, 4G, 5G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jacks. Additionally it come with an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
