Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G was launched in India on 5th Jan Thursday 2023. The main highlights is 120Hz Super AMOLED displays, up to 200MP camera, and 120W fast charging and more.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, 200MP triple camera setup, 120Hz Super AMOLED displays, 4980mAh battery with 120W fast charging in the box. All three models comes with Android 12 out of the box which is not good in 2023. Company promise to give you two major update which is Android 13 and 14 and 4 years of security updates.

The Note 12 Pro Plus features with 6.72-inch full-HD+ (1,080x 2,400pixels) Super AMOLED display with 30Hz – 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and 900 nits of peak brightness. The display comes with 1920Hz PWM Dimming and has support for HDR10+, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Dolby Vision. The Pro+ model also gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front.

The main highlight of the smartphone its 200MP triple rear camera setup. The main primary camera sensor is Samsung HPX 200-megapixel lens with an f/1.65 aperture with optical image stabilisation (OIS) supports. The camera unit also includes an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies lover, the device packed with a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 lens. The camera features with AI beauty, Autofocus, LED Flash, ISO control, AI Portrait, Exposure compensation, Continuous Shooting, Auto Flash, Digital Zoom, Face detection and more.

Battery & Performance

The phone is powered by an octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC couple with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM. It comes with an X-axis 0809 vibration motor for gaming and a 3,000mm square vapour chamber (VC) for thermal management. The smartphone packs up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage that don’t have microSD card slot.

The handset back with a 4980mAh battery thats supports 120W fast charging (in the box). The fast charging technology is said to deliver up to 100 percent charge in 19 minutes. It carries Surge P1 chips for power management as well. For authentication it has side-mounted fingerprint sensor other sensor include accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, barometer. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
