Apple announced the iPad Air 2024 in India and global markets on Tuesday during its ‘Let Loose’ event. The sixth generation iPad Air model will be offered in both 10.9-inch and 13-inch display sizes, a first for the iPad Air range. The iPad Air (2024) is powered by Apple’s octa-core M2 processor and both have Liquid Retina (LCD) screen.

iPad Air 2024 Specifications
Apple has packed the iPad Air (2024) with its own octa-core M2 chip that includes Apple’s Neural Engine for on-device AI operations. Apple claims that the new iPad Air has up to 15% better CPU speed and 25% better GPU performance than its predecessor, and that it is 50% faster than the previous model’s M1 processor. The tablet comes pre-installed with iPadOS 17 out of the box.
This year, Apple launched two new iPad Air 2024 models in two screen sizes: an 11-inch Liquid Retina (LCD) screen with a resolution of 2,360×1,640 pixels, and a 13-inch display with a resolution of 2,732×2,048 pixels. The screens boast 264ppi pixel density, True Tone compatibility, P3 colour gamut coverage, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

In terms of cameras, it boasts a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with auto image stabilisation and Smart HDR 4 support. It can capture videos in 4K quality at 60fps or slow-motion in 1080p at 240fps. The iPad Air (2024) now has an improve 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle forward-facing camera for selfies and video chat in landscape oriented. The iPad also supports Apple’s Centre Stage technology, which changes the camera angle as you move for approved apps like FaceTime.
Connectivity is also top-notch with WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G cellular options, ensuring that you’re always connected at the fastest speeds available. Security isn’t compromised either, with a fingerprint scanner neatly integrated into the top button.

In India, the 11-inch iPad Air (2024) starts at Rs. 59,900 for Wi-Fi only variant and 128GB of storage. While Wi-Fi + Cellular model costs Rs.79,990. In other hand, the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models of the 13.9-inch iPad Air model cost Rs. 74,900 and Rs. 94,900, respectively.
